What is the best time of year to see the tulips in Holland?

Generally speaking the flower season in Holland is from mid-March to mid-May. After the crocuses that start blooming in February, most daffodils start to bloom in March. Nature always goes its own way but you will have the best chance to see vast fields of blooming tulips in the month of April. In May many farmers start heading the tulips as it is the bulb that they are being grown for.

From Amsterdam International Airport Schiphol, you can travel by Keukenhof Express (bus line number 858). It will take you from Schiphol Airport to the main entrance of Keukenhof. It departs from the bus stop outside Arrivals hall 4 (near Starbucks). Walk outside from Schiphol Plaza and follow the signs.
